BIOGRAPHY
Irina started playing cello at the age of 10 at the children's music school in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. While studying there she experienced success in musical contests and decided to continue her professional education on the cello. After graduating from Khamza State Music College, Irina entered the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, where she studied under professor Atham Mansirev and received her bachelor degree in stringed instruments.
Irina has played with numerous ensembles, quartets and orchestras. Her unique and diverse experience includes playing
-Principal cello in the Symphony Orchestra of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan
-Principal cello in State Television and Radio Chamber Orchestra of Uzbekistan
-Principal cello for the Musical Comedy Theater Orchestra of Tashkent, Uzbekistan
-Section cello in the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan
-Section cello (2018) and acting principal cello (2019-2020) with the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, Virginia,
-Present - principal cellist at NIH Philharmonia, Virginia
Irina has been teaching cello since 2018. She has private and online students.
